Another Xoxide sale. This week they have Copper King AMD Cooler for $3.99
(Was 13.99, then 9.99, now 3.99... I'm assuming they were used to incredable responsed, and this one had left them nothing.)

Description:

This high end CPU cooler is the head of the CPU cooler armada offered by the Spire Group. The unit is 100% Copper, and is the perfect upgrade for any AMD system.

To upgrade the performance, choose the 80mm fan upgrade options below (Adapter + Fan). Also, remember to choose a thermal compound for the best conductivity.

I haven't heard about this cooler really before... My swiftech does it for me :) At 3.99, looks pretty good though, I'm better about the same performance as stock? I dunno, you guys can comment.

Previous X-hour Sales:
Sunday 9/8/02: 6 Port Baybus, $5.99
Sunday 9/15/02: Cold Cathode kits, $4.99
Sunday 9/22/02: X300 Cases, $39.99
Sunday 9/29/02: Xoxide Fan Kit $1.99
Sunday 10/6/02: 350 Watt Power Supply $9.99
Sunday 10/13/02: Tri LED Fans $3.99
Sunday 10/20/02: Acrylic Fan Grills $1.99

Bah, I've been here for all except the baybus, the best one :( I've picked up Cold Cathods, and the LED fans... Both pretty good as well.

Looks like a low-performance copper cooler priced at about what it's worth. Do you see the tips of the "fins"? The way they made the whole thing one piece of copper(by folding it rather than cutting) covers the place where the air gets in between the fins. Damn, I wish I had been there when they did the baybus, that was worth it, but the X-hour thing is getting more and more useless.

I concur with squalish... X hour is a joke ever since the end of the cold cathode week... most of us ATers probably visit Xoxide hoping for another cold cathode or Baybus...

Jebus... and for 13.99 not including the $7 shipping I'd rather put in $10 for a Alpha Pal 8045 or if price is a problem then the GC-68 at SVC 2 weeks ago was a great deal at $5 ... I don't have to tell you ATers to hold out on this one.

Wow, it seems like they listen to their feedback. From 13.99 to 9.99 to 3.99. At this price it might just be worth it. One could dremel off the tops of the fins and use.
