Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes...

Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. "We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand," she says. "We're having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden."

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers.

These people want to make it illegal to burn wood in a wood fire place yet they travel via limo and private jet.

LET THEM EAT CAKE!

All attendees to global climate change conference need to walk to the meeting.

All attendees to a world population summit need to have a vasectomy or tubal ligation.

Anyone attending nuclear non-proliferation talks must first disarm.

If they use a 100 watt light bulb when a 60 watt light bulb will do that means global warming isn't real.

If you use a 100 W bulb when a 60 W would work, is it safe to assume that you're not struggling to pay your electric bill?

My electric bill is about $40 a month and I split that with a roommate. Time to light up the night!

You lived in Germany and drove to Canada etc. on your off days? I think you need a bit of clarification there, I at least am not getting what I am sure is your intent for the separation in the two lists.

Never went to Europe, but I can attest that the Canada/Mexico Border is a bitch to get through....

I am quite sure the people attending this meeting are having no problems with us paying their bills.

Or perhaps it is just a gotcha political comment to point out the hypocrisy of asking us to cut back on our energy use while they use luxurious vehicles that they want us to stop using.

I understand this is gotcha politics, and nothing but a group of people looking for a quick snarky comment to avoid the real issues. However, if you want people to take you seriously, it is important you act like what you are saying is important. In other words, if they tell us it is important to use more gas efficient vehicles and carpool, we tend to ignore them if they are all driving their own hummer.

Which is precisely why many people don't take AGW seriously. The AGW televangelists are just as fake as a fair number of the religious kind. If you don't live by your convictions, how valid are your convictions?

The validity of the science has literally nothing to do with how its proponents conduct their lives.

Cooking the books, withholding unpleasant data, excluding peers who offer contrary data for political reasons is not science - Most climatology work done these days is not science because of economic and political implications.

Thank god China has a clue and gives a big FU to these dishonest jerks and nothing will ever come of it.

Well that's fine, my point stands however.

No. If one truly believes that the science is valid, one should live according to that belief. Otherwise, one is a hypocrite. And since they're the ones who are pushing this 'belief structure', how valid can it be? When I see these televangelists living by the science, I'll take what they're preaching seriously.
