you and i both, not knowing the exact details, it's not like the woman threw a drink in his face for no reason. i don't advocate the drink throwing, but getting wet does not equal the slam to the ground he dealt her. he's clearly a jackass.

To me there is something missing to this story. If it is all true the arresting officer needs to be charged with assault.

ok... just watched the vid... i've seen it before. he is clearly harassing her and then he touches her first, possibly a push, on the shoulder. he's a jackass, confirmed.

Yea? If that were a man, I'd be in the process of breaking his face after the leg sweep. I think he showed very good restraint. If women want deference in society, they need to show some class. You don't get a free pass on life because you were born with a vagina.

Have fun attacking a retreating opponent, you will both be charged for assault. Have fun with a higher degree, too, if you beat their face.

After you run your thoughts through your nuts, error check it in your brain, just to make sure.

back on topic, OP, you are usually much better than this... your source doesn't tell the plantiff's side of the story. so i searched for a more reputable link, and i couldn't find one.

if the plantiff's story is true the officer needs immediate dismissal, etc.

Well, you see, I don't give a shit about the law; seriously... I come from a time and place where people behave themselves, and problems are dealt with by the people involved. They don't go running to big brother for help, or hire a sniveling lawyer from day time TV.

The law is there to protect criminals, and the special interests of those with money. Everyone else conducts themselves appropriately in public...

I saw it on Facebook and someone up above linked the actual PDF of the complaint.

There isn't much else to speak of from what I could find.

Attacking a retreating opponent is not acting appropriately in public, especially when it's a meat head and their opponent weights less than 120 lbs. Throwing a drink in someone's face is not appropriate, ask the thrower to leave. Chasing her down, and forcibly putting her on the ground, concrete no less, is not appropriate.

On topic: Weren't there other people at the bus stop that could testify? Also, don't be a smart ass to the police, no matter how good an idea it seems at first. He shouldn't have said, "If it was mine..." Trying that with cops ends only badly.

Cop: Is that your dead hooker?
Perp: If it was mine, I'd be enjoying it with me meal!

Being a smartass doesn't give a cop the authority to beat your ass. Dude was sitting there minding his own business and he said something a little snarky while remaining absolutely harmless -- eating a fucking taco.

Cop was just on an ego trip.

It's not like he was sitting there whacking off in public on the bench, he was eating.

No, but being a smart ass opens you up to rage reactions from people that don't error check their thoughts. I'm not saying the cop is right, I'm just saying don't be a smart ass to someone with all the power in a situation.

I've seen a situation like this happen in real life. No one is going to get in a fight for a dumb bitch that started shit she couldn't handle. I saw a black girl go ballistic at a small bar in uptown Dallas. Her and some guy had ordered the same drink, the bartender made the drink, and the guy took it. She said it was her drink, he said he ordered first, she said, "Ain't you ever heard of ladies first motherfucker?" He said, "Where I'm from, ladies don't talk like that," and took a sip of his drink. She slapped the drink down out of his hand and slapped him across the face. He pushed her back, she jumped at him and scratched his neck and scalp, he pushed her back again, she jumped at him again and he caught her with a knee to the gut and a downward elbow strike to the face. She crumpled to the floor and didn't move for a good 5 seconds. Then she started shrieking, "he broke my nose! he broke my nose!" She was bleeding all over the place. The bouncers & cops arrive, the bartender tells them she started it, two of my buddies talked to the cops (they're both cops too) and 10 minutes later crazy bitch is on her way to the hospital under arrest and the dude is sitting back at the bar drinking free drinks for the rest of the night.
