Probably.

The Supreme Court ruled that you have the right to shoot a cop dead in self defense.

I was going to make a topic about it earlier in the year and probably might start to get working on doing that.

Seems like that would almost be impossible to prove. You'd be guilty and locked away long before you could prove your innocence.

As for the dog shooting, wtf!? There has to be more to this story, or this guy is just plain psycho. Even if that dog had rabies, there's no way it could have bit him...

Nice Ninja edit.

However, was this killing ok with you, bro.

So me deleting a link to a facebook page of the dog I thought was involved in the killing (due to a bad news article I found through google) and pointing out that the dog was way more than 5lbs, then editing my post when I realized this wasn't the case makes me okay with killing the dog?

What?

So I guess this depends on local and state laws but I was wondering if a person could defend their pet's lives in a situation like this?

Even if the dog was twice 5 pounds. That's not much bigger than a cat. Threat not found. At least not a threat big enough to justify killing. You can pretty much push that dog around with your foot if really needed. Those little ankle biters can be vicious and stuff but they're really not a threat. LOL

I wonder if cops shoot mosquitoes with their gun when they go camping. "It was coming straight for me! Oh did I get you in the arm? Sorry about that I was aiming for the mosquito in the air, IT'S STILL THERE!" *BANG BANG BANG*

If you look closely at the video, you can clearly see the dog reach for a gun.

Not to be sour or anything, but in all honesty, when I first saw the OP title, I thought it read, "Cop shoots delicious 5lb. dog".

I think it's actually some kind of policy to empty your whole clip, I'm surprised he did not keep shooting.

The fact that he did this while wearing a body cam just shows how he knows he wont even get in trouble over this.

You're an idiot.

He moved too quickly, or was it too slowly. Whatever the Hell, he moved.....Good shoot!!!!!!

This guy is screwed for life. His days as a cop are over. He'll probably do jail time. And any potential future employer that googles his name will not hire him.

And butt s3x

He's a cop. He's only going to go home with pay, IF that. Chances are he got a call for something else after on the radio and moved on and nothing else will happen from this point.
