There's a lot of "the mother said" in that article. Makes me suspect right there. Some articles say the officer was ordered by the operator not to pursue, others says that order was made by a superior. While this may not have anything to do with the shooting, I suspect it will pay an important role in the lawsuit. Additionally, he should have been fired if he disregarded a superiors order that ultimately resulted in a death.
At this point, due to minor inconsistencies like that, I think there's something we aren't being told.
Exactly. no one ever changes from childhood to adulthood ever.Meh, I could care less. With charges of drug possession, assault, theft and he's only fourteen, one could see he would've been much more dangerous in the future. What the cop did wasn't right but there are more important things to worry about, like shitty parenting which was the ultimate cause of this tragedy. Parents should also be punished in this case.
Execution for future crimes? What could possibly go wrong?Meh, I could care less. Many people become cops so that they can be government sanctioned criminals.

I'll move past not understanding how an action can be criminal if it is government sanctioned and just ask:
Source please?
There's a major piece of information missing in this story: despite the fact that he sounds like a bad cop, was the shooting deemed as a justified shooting or not? I'm going to guess it was, because if it wasn't, it wouldn't just be a lawsuit.
The San Antonio Police Department has ruled that the officer's use of force was justified.
