xBiffx....so are you a paid shill for some Policeman`s Union??

Why cry?

Why get all up in arms because these threads are being used as a public service to better educate us concerning what a Police State actually is....or has become as America presently has become?

What double standard?? Police need to be and should be held to a higher standard than regular people.....

Police make mistakes.....but when the Police make mistakes somebody gets killed or beaten while wearing handcuffs........etc....

When you make a mistake at work, nobody gets beaten or tazed...or shot at....

finally my vote for the most asinine statement of the year --
I think we should have a subforum for anytime any profession screws up or does something outrageous. Oh wait, seems only people care about when the cops do it. Apparently they are never allowed to make mistakes and when one does, that means we should hate on all cops.

When we have a democrat/left wing misconduct forum and a right wing/republican misconduct sub forums then one for police misconduct would be ok too. Until then, no thanks. If we were to have a crime and punishment sub forum that would encompass things like the Zimmerman trial, police misconduct, and other hot issues not directly political, I could see that. Putting police misconduct in its own sub forum would surely stifle much of the conversations, and I think police abuse has been hidden away and covered up far too long in America.

Interesting stats, thanks. I only had time to skim, but I didn't see a breakdown by percentage based on number of people in a given occupation / sector. ex, there are 200,000 miners with 200 deaths for .1% of fatalities among miners. I could also be in need of a slap upside the head and another cup of coffee for missing it, so please go easy on my if I missed it. :)

I had a link that showed that info, I'll try to find it and post it again.

So police need to be held to the same standard as everyone else, but also to a higher standard, but that's not a double standad?

Not at all a double standard! When you take the job you know very well that you are to be held to a higher standard of accountability!!

I thought there was one all ready to be honest.

It seemed to last about a week or two, then they started going all over again and were ignored.

It seems to not have things rerouted.

P&N has little to do with it.

P&N has little to do with it.

We tried it for several weeks and it became very difficult to keep track of who was replying to what. More people complained due to everything being mashed together in one thread. I agreed to post no more than 3 cop misconduct threads per week and I have stuck to that. Here is the post on the termination of the failed experiment http://atforums.mobi/msg.php?threadid=2381549&catid=24&rnum=171&STARTPAGE=6

I personally think people who are complaining either have some personal beef with me or they are pro- cop enthusiasts who think cops are gods and can do no wrong. Having weekly news reports that point out the contrary upsets these particular people. The cop posts are News and are political in nature. They belong in the politics & News forum. I think it is downright silly for a handful of people to carry on like little babies over this. Get over it. Don't read the threads its that simple. One other thing I might add is we have a number of people who post these so it isn't all me and they aren't all my posts.

However I think it is funny I am getting blamed by the whiners for all the posts even though they are not all mine.

This is an obvious attempt to stifle conversation on these threads from a handful of people who can't win their arguments in these threads. So instead they complain.

You are delusional living in a bubble world.

That is the greater problem.

Name one person on this forum who is a pro-cop enthusiast who thinks cops are gods and can do no wrong, and back it up with evidence, with links to posts where they demonstrate these beliefs.
