Providence police detective killed yesterday inside a detective conference room at police headquarters was shot with his own service weapon. Police are identifying the suspect as 26-year-old Estenban Carpio. They say Detective James Allen was questioning Carpio about the stabbing of an 84-year-old woman when Carpio somehow managed to get Allen's weapon, then shot him. Police Chief Dean Esserman says Carpio then jumped out a third-floor window and fled, but was soon apprehended. Esserman would not discuss in detail the events leading up to the shooting. He also would not discuss the procedures officers are supposed to follow when questioning suspects, and would not say if there were witnesses. He did say Carpio had previously been handcuffed -- though he wasn't at the time of the shooting.

ROFL... Too bad he isn't dead. Looks like he is having a good time though. Maybe he'll get flesh eating virus in that open wound.
