Idiot. This is a particularly galling story to me in that the killer appears to be proud of his murder, and feel hewas "politically" justified in blowing away a 21-year-old small-town cop. I would love to prosecute this case.

EDIT: D'oh! The officer was 31 - I misread it.

What a nutcase POS. Thanks to this guy, a wife is now a widow and a 19 month old child is now without a father. I'm glad he was stupid enough to brag about it so the FBI caught him. I hope they fry his ass. Does California still have the death penalty?

The officer slain was 31, BTW.
A native of Saratoga, Mobilio leaves behind his wife of six years, Linda, an elementary school teacher, and their 19-month-old son, Lucas.
Awful. Simply awful. :(

Yes, but they have only executed a few people since reinstituting it in 1977. I believe they have not executed anyone since 1998 (though I may be wrong on this); they are definitely not as profilic as, say, Virginia, Texas, or Georgia.

Mobilio, 31, was shot once in the head as he refueled his cruiser.

What better way to "call attention to police brutality"? Moron. To me, this case is just a reminder that being a cop is an incredibly hard, scary, dangerous job, and helps to explain why police brutality sometimes occurs.

Yep. This guy is aint the sharpest tool in the shed. Looks like he might have gotten roughed up a bit after his arrest:
Police said there had been a dispute over jail clothing, but did not explain the bandage. Defense attorney Mark Sisti said McCrae had been injured, but gave no details.
Good. Hope they got him good. Human scum like this deserve alot worse than a little beating.

Wow, this guy is an idiot for 3 reasons.

1) he thinks cops have an easy job or something
2) He killed a cop.
3) He admitted to it on a web site?
