Coordless Dremel Tool - Will it do the job?

Hi I was thinking of putting a window on the side of my case, and I heard alot about the dremel tools.

I was wondering if my 15,000 RPM battery powered dremel tool would be strong enough to do the job.

Also I heard that you should go buy re-inforced cut-off wheels instead of using the standard ones because the standard breaks too easily.

Can anyone give me a opinion on this?

You can use a dremel, but the job will take quite a bit of time. Most people use jigsaws with metal-cutting blades to do the straight and almost straight lines when cutting windows, and use their dremels to do the tight curves and complex images.

well yes and no........ yes it'll work, but since it's battery operated you'll have to take breaks often to let it recharge.. and it won't be as powerful as a corded one

i thought it would.. after pain stakingly waiting for the 15k to cut, and the battery dying (or not being powerful enough) i just gave up and bought a simple 30k single speed corded dremel, did the job much faster.... course a jigsaw is good too

Cordless tools suck, IMO ;) Like punkrawket said, you'll be taking a lot of recharge breaks :D
