Hi

I have a scenario in my network to connect two systems to a PC via ethernet port. One will be to feed the PC output to a TV and the second will be from a access control device which will be having its software installed in the PC.

The supplier tells me to use a hub to do the connections so that the hub will be having connections to TV and the cable coming from the main switch which in turn is coming from the access control device.

Could you please help me with a best way to do this?

Thanks

I've read your post several times and I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish.

First off, strike the word "hub" from any and all vocabulary when it comes to computer networking. Hubs haven't been used for over 15 years. Switches are the mainstay now.

It sounds like you have three devices. If this is the case than you just need a simple $15 networking switch.

Why not just use a HDMI to output to the TV if you're using a cabled connection, unless you want to use media servers.
