Cool'n'Quiet / PowerNow in a desktop?

Has anybody performed power measurements for a desktop A64 with Cool'n'Quiet enabled and the CPU running at it's low speed/voltage? The measurements I've seen only measure the before/after temperatures but not really how much power the CPU is actually drawing. I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with a desktop A64, mobile A64 or even a Pentium-M in a desktop mainboard.

Thanks.

Pentium M desktop is very expensive. Try to find a winchester .09 socket 754. The Turion amd cpus are also expensive when purchased separately.

Some more delving , I found the following 2 links:

Judging from these two sites, it seems Cool'n'Quiet drops the idle power usage 20W-30W depending on the chip.
