I'm trying to use Coolmon to monitor my 2nd computer's stats over the network. Both computers are behind a firewall and they're talking happily. I have Coolmon installed on the server and I've checked the box under networking to run as a server. The port is set to 6130 and the password field is blank. On the client, I type this:

coolmon.exe -c -i192.168.0.62 -p6130

192.168.0.62 is the ip of the server. When Coolmon starts up, all of the fields say "BLANK" and every second I get an error that says "Exception ERange Error in module coolmon.exe at 00131883. Range check error." I have no idea what this means. Client is XP Pro, server is Win2k Server SP3.

On a side note, where can I find configs for coolmon to dl? Links like this escape me. :)

The error you're getting is because the client can't reach the server, on the port you specified. You will need to make sure that port 6130 is opened in the firewall.

As for configs, check the CoolMon forums, there are lots of links there :)

These computers don't have to go through a firewall to talk to each other. They're on the same hub behind a firewall. I did find this note on the coolmon forum about the error. It turns out I'm not the only one with the bug.
