This looks like one heck of a buy...so what's wrong with it?
Specs are amazing...only thing I see is that PF is around 65% and not 70 or above. No biggie.
Since it is ATX12V 2.03 rated, does that mean that it is also convertible to the 24-Pin Main Power requirement of most all new motherboards?

I love this...
"High quality gold-coated fan guard & connectors are good for conduction.
Tube-tide design to tidy the wires."

OOS. My PSU just went south this week, so I need a decent unit. Oh well...

Considering that most "new" PSUs strive to be 80% or greater efficient under all loads, 65% is horrible. With most modern gaming systems drawing 250 watts on average, that adds up to a lot of wasted wattage (and heat) just because a poor choice in PSUs was made.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jonny made it explode - powmax/coolmax/raidmax = all teh suck.

Bad caps, bad components. Don't ever cheap out on PSUs because the cheap ones WILL take your computer with them.

*sigh* I can't stress this enough. It amazes me how many people put hundreds of dollars of computer equipment at the mercy of a sub-standard power supply.

Flower, Seasonic, Fortran, PCP&C, etc...these are dependable power supplies.

OP, this is most certainly *not* meant as a TC, just a heads up for people, to please, please carefully consider what you're doing before buying suspect power supplies.

That was Powmax, they make the worst PSU I've ever used. Johnny got like 3 of them in a row to blow up. Poorly made is giving Powmax too much credit. A few years ago I built somebody a PC and PCClub was throwing in a Powmax PSU free if you bought this one case. So not knowing how bad the PSU was, I jumped on the deal *cough cough*

Ran for about 4 days, he upgraded the video card to a X850xt, PSU was dead the same day. And aside from the worst quality ever, it was also the LOUDEST PSU I've ever used. It reminded me of a Delta fan at full blow.

heard coolmax is better then Powmax, but since nothings probably worse that ain't saying much :)

A friend of mine had the 450W version of that Coolmax PSU in his A64 2.4GHz system. It died in under 6 months and the manufacturer appeared to offer no warranty. Couldn't find any mention of a warranty on their website and a couple emails to them went unresponded. If I'm mistaken please let me know.
