How is the stock heatsink on the Asus A7N8X? It gets pretty hot to the touch... would it be better if I replaced it with a Zalmon northbridge heatsink? Would a thermaltake crystal orb be better or worse than the other 2?
 
Don't get a crystal orb unless you have a rheobus to control it with...they are very noisy.
I'd just stick with the stock NB heatsink and improve your case airflow.
I use the zalman NB's frequently, but the stock one is fine.
 
I just got one of these for my overheating 8RDA+ northbridge. I'll take the noise over the loss of lan and sound, I think.
