Cooling tests and results here

hmmm, did a few more tests today.

I first did a fan directional test.
Results:
Fan blowing away from heatsink: 50-51
Fan blowing into heatsink: 39-41

Then i used this old fan i found that is really kind of crappy and compared the two.
Results:
38cfm fan: 38-41
Crap Fan: 43+

Then i did a open case, closed case test.
Results:
Open case with the alpha:35-38
Closed case:39-41

Not sure what to conclude about the results, but just posting them.

I used to have my fan on my alpha blowing into the heatsink until someone told me that I was supposed to have it the other way around. I noticed about 2-3 degrees C higher in temps. Should I go back to having the fan blow into the heatsink or just leave it the way it is (blowing away from the cpu) cuz its the "proper" way according to the alpha site? my temps are about 30degrees C idle and 44 degrees C under full load (with fan blowing away from hs.)

Definitely change it to blow at the heatsink. I have no idea why alpha would say to make the fan suck air from the heatsink when blowing at the heatsink is much better.
