Anyone have suggestions for better cooling the inside of my case?

Hard drives, GPU, CPU, etc... any suggestions are welcomed. I have about $100 or less to spend, so I figured if there was something else I could do to better cool my case, I would.

Hard drives run hot.

Temps:
(after 45 minutes of Couner Strike, high settings)
CPU 51
GPU 65

(idle for 30 minutes)
CPU 47
GPU 55

Airflow of my case is shown in the flash movie on the right here: http://www.lian-li.com/Product/Chassis/..._Tower/V_Series/S_V_S_PC-V2100plus.htm

Here's a screenshot of the motherboard: http://www.mylianli.com/images/mb-overview3-S.jpg

I have 13mm above the CPU for any aftermarket CPU cooler.

Here's a screenshot of my hard drive rack: http://www.mylianli.com/images/hard-drive-rack-S.jpg

A fan would work for the hard drives... Could try to cleanup some of the cables and make the hard drives even or staggered not sure which one works better heh.

A blowdown would work better for cooling as the backfan is intake. How much do you want to spend and how quiet do you want it to be?

"I don't know how long you've lived in Gilbert but right about July it's fusking hot. "
- lol, we had a nice heat warning about 4 days ago, but yeah it is really hot.

"Do you have A/C??"
- A/C is kept at around 78.

"What are your ambients??"
- How long does the computer have to be off to determine that? I can check tomorrow morning aftrer it is off for the night.

"Those temps are fine, I don't see a problem. "
- The hard drives run hot, but a better cooled system tends to be more stable. So if I can dump a little extra cash on cooling, I would like to.

"A fan would work for the hard drives."
- I don't see any good places for a fan. If it was above the PSU, it wouldn't work with the current airflow diagram, I don't see any other spots for more fans. Feel free to take a look at mylianli.com for pics.

"Could try to cleanup some of the cables and make the hard drives even or staggered not sure which one works better heh"
- The hard drives can't be moved, I will be adding more soon and filling up the entire bay. I've thought about what I could do to better design the cables for the drives, but I can't think of anything that will keep it clean. The cables need to be on the side of the drives to esnure best airflow between the hard drive openings.

"How much do you want to spend and how quiet do you want it to be? "
- At most about $100, right now my blower fan and GPU are the loudest, anything louder would be annoying.

After about 10 hours of being turned off, when I startup the computer I get the following temps:

CPU: 38
GPU: 49

I have a PC-201 (exact same interior)

When I get home from work I will show you how I setup my 9 hard drives inside of it, which are all running a nice temps (8x 7200.9 160GB, and 1 150GB raptor). I just took the pics today, and I dont have access to my FTP from work to host them.

Ok, heres how I setup my wiring. Note the PS is a PCP&C 1000W. It required removing the middle bracket because its mega long, and I honestly think that helped airflow (well with the help of the 2 80mm exhaust fans. underneath the PS that chamber gets lots of flow.

Side view, whole case

Just the Hard Drives

8 Sata cables wiring

Hard drives + power supply

Top to bottom: SATA Raid, Ateme h.264 Kompressor, Xena HS, firewire card, Quaddro 3400.

Same view further out.

Hard Drives close up again

One thing I found really usefull for the Hard drive wiring was taking the 6 Sata power wires (3 per cord), and alternating them between drives, so it didnt flail out as far. If you notice they sort of hop-skotch each other on the left HD rack. The other 3 were from a molex to sata adapter and fit a little cleaner.

"You put your memory in the off-colored slots? "
- The purple/green for dual channel...

"alternating them between drives"
- Awesome idea, it turned out great too! That idea, and having every two sata cables tied off, looks to be the solution. Does your seagate run around 47-49 load?

Are your sata cables 46"? They look a lot longer than 36".

I always thought you put the memory in the same colored slots for dual-channel operation.
