Cooling Suggestions Please

I have an abit nf7-s board, with an amd XP2400+ and a Speeze fan that cools up to an XP3000+ (Here). My case is a cheap case I found for $20 somewhere a long time ago, but it has no ventalation, so I usually run it w/o the side panels on.. At idle, my processor is running at about 47C, and I havent tried it at full load yet.. I am wondering what my best bet would be for cooling.. Obviously need more ventalation(like, what size fans and where they should be mounted), maybe a new case.. and any other tips would be great...

I would suggest a better heatsink fan if you aren't happy with the temps from that cooler. It looks very similar to the GC68.

Also, you need to get some airflow moving through the case. If there are no holes for fans, try to find someplace you can fit at least one 80mm intake and one 80mm exhaust fan. You may have to cut your own holes. If there are places for fans, cut out the factory fan grilles. They usually restrict a lot of air from moving.

If a new case is in your budget, go for it. If not, you should have your intakes in the front of the case and exhausts in the rear of the case. If you put a fan on the side panel, I would make that an intake as well, so it pulls cool air onto your processor

The only place it has for intake is a 120mm spot in the front, but its covered by the front panel which seems pretty stupid to me.. so I'm going to be putting a 120mm fan in the very front and run it w/o the front panel.. and maybe 1 in the very middle of the side panel... then an exhaust straight above that, probably an 80mm to keep positive air flow through the case.. I need to get some incense so I can see where I need it most...

Usually with cases like that, the front bezel is designed to let the front fan pull air in thru a gap in the bottom lip. Not the most ideal airflow solution, to be sure, but there is some method to the madness. Don't take my word for it since I haven't actually seen the case, but I'm thinking you'll be okay even with the front bezel attached, but keeping it off will guarantee more airflow if you can endure an ugly looking rig.
