Cooling solution for notebook harddrive?

The new harddrive in my notebook gets quite hot (55°C) and according to Seagate this is the max operating temperature. How can I cool it down? Are there any devices I can buy, maybe better case fans?

The notebook is a Dell Inspiron 8100.
 
Aside from one of those notebook cooler thingies, if you're out of warranty you can cut some cooling holes for the drive in the case.
 
I had an IBM drive in my Dell Inspiron 4100 do the click of death in January. I don't know if it died due to heat or did it just fail? I do know that it does run quite hot, close to max temp. What I have done to prolong the life is keep the notebook raised off of the desk surface so there is an inch or so of airspace underneath. Also, never set the computer on any sort of cloth surface as it will block the cooling vents underneath.
