I'm thinking about getting an SLK-900 with a 80mm Panaflo L1A fan, but i'm not going to bother if they don't make much of a difference. I expect some good results if i'm going to pay $50 or whatever it is. I average 50c at stock, and have averaged that since i got this rig back in December( and yes, my heatsink is on right ;P), but it goes up to 59c when i playing games and such. I'm using the default P4 heatsink now if you were wondering. So if i were to buy the SLK 900 and the Panaflo L1A, about how many degrees should i expect my cpu temp drop afterward?

Also these temp as high as they are leeds me too belive that you have teh chip oc'ed right? First things first check you ambient tempuratures. a new hsf will only work if their is cool air to be pushed past it.

Nothing's overclocked actually...i'm not sure why it's so hot. I've done a lot of research and just can't figure it out. The heatsink seems to be on right. Air flow in the case is decent. Tis a mystery.

Well, i was hoping i could OC if i got the temps down low enough.

I'm not quite sure how to check the case temp...should i just stick a thermometer in the floppy drive slot? :p, I think MBM only does CPU temperatue.
