Thanks to those that answered my previous message about high temps on my Abit board. I believe this is an ABIT issue as my case temps are fine 26-28C and the heatsink is cool to the touch even atthe base where it is in contact with the CPU. I know the heat sink is in good contact with teh CPU and I will verify the actual external CPU temp with an temp probe when I get a chance.
Currently adding an intake fan to get better ventilation and cooler HDs. My issue is that I am shooting for minimizing sounds. Do the rubber grommets between fan and case help? How about the NB passive coolers -
anyone tried it with an Abit IC7-G?
On another related topic, anyone tried to minimize noise/maximize cooling on a Shuttle XPC 51G?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
