This is more like a survey but still is a question.
What do you say the best temps for keeping components are?
This is for a temp/fan controller I have and would just like to get the experts input on this.

Example- the hard drive, I don't want it to get too hot but yet I don't want a fan running on it all the time.

Hdd safe operating temps- between ? and ?
Cpu safe operating temps-
Chipset safe operating temps-
Case safe operating temps-
Power supply safe op temps-

HDD - Under 50
CPU - Athlon64s should be under 50 load, I don't know about Pentiums
Chipset - Don't know, I just use the stock cooler
Case - Doesn't really matter, as long as your components are cool, but if I had to give a number I'd say something like under 45
PSU - There's a sensor in the PSU?

Hmm...looking at your system...

My Seagate 160GB hard drive runs very cool (mid 30s without a fan) so I don't use a fan with it. And for your motherboard, as long as you aren't pushing the FSB too hard you should be fine with the stock chipset cooler. And I wouldn't worry about your PSU either. As for your CPU, will you be overclocking? None to slight overclocking can be easily had with the stock heatsink, but for more heavy overclocking you'll need an aftermarket cooler, like an XP-90/120 or a Zalman 7000/7700.

No overclocking yet maybe later. Went with the zalman 7000 for a quieter fan. What about cpu temp now?
