Cooling Performance of the H80

I thought it couldn't handle my Core i7 920. At stock, I was getting 45-50 idle. Reseated it. Still an issue. Put the fans on an independent controller. Still hot.

Took my case apart today to put back in my custom watercooling. I had both fans pointed in towards the radiator. Doh!

Still managed to cool my processor at 100% stress test load at under 70 with both fans pushing into the radiator. I'm actually happy.

Haha ... that's a bummer ! I had so many problems with my H80 when I first got it set up and the noise turned out to be the case itself. I still get it from time to time but its much quieter than it first was. No complaints from me. I did replace the stock fans with AP15s to further help the cooling efforts.

When do you think Corsair will step up and put real hoses on those H80's and H100's? They are are so cheap and inefficient. Every one I stick in a build, I upgrade because it's so embarrassing.
