Cooling performance gains from a GlobalWin CAK 38

Is anyone using this HSF? Is it any better over an aluminum HSF, such as the WBK 38 or FOP 38? I'm thinking of buying one and would appreciate your opinions.

I've been using the CAK-38 for little over a week now. Not a bad HSF, little on the heavy side (510g). I've seem to be running at 44c normal load and 50c on heavy load with my t-bird 1.333 on a A7V133 board (but we all know that ASUS board can read temp for $hit. If you do get this one you may want to use something to hook onto one of the bolts on the HSF and tie it to you power supply to help with the weight. It would be same if one of the clips broke and it shorts the board or GOD forbid your video card.

Got mine for $80cdn at http://www.pccanada.com

Aluminum doesn't absorb heat as well as copper, but it releases it better.
Conversly copper absorbs heat better, but doesn't release it as well.

Practically this means, an all copper sink is good at pulling heat away from the CPU, but not so good at releasing it, so you need a more powerful fan to push the heat off.

The GW xxx38s all come with the Delta 7000rpm which is powerful enough to make the all copper CAK38 a good cooler. But if you value your ears and put a weaker fan on there the performance drop off will be a higher percentage with the copper sink than with an aluminum sink.

I got a wbk38 but put a YS tech fan (from fop32) on it instead of the delta. the difference is only about 4c anyway, I could live with that. Installing it was a pain, not for the faint of heart.

as for temps with asus board see my post here.
