Cooling Mod Question/Idea

I would like to use a 172mmx52mm DC fan at the front of the Case. Then I want to use 3 inch clear vinyl ducting and channel the air to the processor. This would put around 230cfm on the processor. I would use a fan controler to control noise and cfm. Anyone try it or do you see any problems doing this?

I saw a comair rotron patriot in the lower front of somebody's case once. He said its super quiet at low rpm with masses of air flow.

You may find it easier (and more effective) to do this by mounting the fan on the side of your case right over the CPU.

Your probably right but I am also going for looks too. I don't want a 173mm fan on my window and I was thinking of running EL wire inside the clear ducting.
