I have a Lian Li PC-71 and I have been thinking of ways to cool it down even more, even with the 4 stock 80mm fans and the aluminum casing.

On the top panel I think I can equally space 3 120mm fans. So the front two intake fans push air in and as it rises it cools the drives then is pushed out by the 3 top 120mm exhaust fans.

I am also taking odd the left panel and cutting a thin piece of lexan that I will hinge on to make a clear suicide door, for more easy access to my hardware.

By the way, anyone know if lexan has a standard pricing psi? If not I guess I will just have to go to the glass manufacturer.

 
I think 3 120mm is overkill... 😛 but yes your idea should work. you should plan it out further because adding more fans doesn't always mean lower temps.
 
Hrmm how are you planning to fit 3x120mm? You have the PSU and the optical drives right underneath. Unless you're planning to put the fans on the outside of the case which IMO will make the case look a little ugly. And I agree with boyRacer, if your pressure is good, you're already getting good air flowage through that case. Having that amount of fans might not give you the performance increase you're looking at. And it'll add to noise.
 
you might fit 1 120mm , unless your case is rather large and the psu and stuff isn't in the way. 3 panaflo 120mm would be good.
 
I was thinking about buying a walk-in freezer and setting up my workstation in there. The ultimate cooling solution!!!!

i was going to run some dryer duct from my window a/c unit to the front of my tower,
but my girlfriend said it was to f**in ugly....

bah women,, i keep the bedroom 74-75 🙂
