Are there any aftermarket cooling solutions that will work with g80 based cards in Sli? That is they have to be 2 slot max. I'm having a heck of a time finding much that will even fit the g80 core. Everything that states 8800 series compatibility is g92 support only on closer inspection. The few I've found look like they are extremely thick.

You could always mod the fan speed in the bios using NiBiTor. It dropped my load temps by 10-15C.

Agreed, adjust fanspeed on stock coolers. 70-80% is still quiet for that cooler. I used a Thermalright HR-03 Plus on a single GTX with great results. But as you can see, there's no room for SLI. There's a Zalman ramsink kit and cooler to fit, but you're talking big bucks to equip two GTX's. Up that fanspeed...

If you mount HR03 upwards (opposite of yours) and run them fanless they would fit most SLI boards

Yep that would work, I'd have had to direct my Ultra 120 to exaust upwards. OP, that's an option if you have the cash and space above the primay PCI-E slot.
