Cooling for NZXT Lexa-S

I'm planning on building a desktop with the computer case from NZXT (Lexa-S). I don't have enough money (Or expertise) to afford water cooling so I will have to use fans to decrease the amount of heat in my computer.

I have a few questions about cooling if you don't mind:

• How's the cooling in NZXT Lexa-S?
• Are there any guidelines on fan placements
• How much fans should a computer normally have? (I don't intend to overclock. Basic parts of my build are: Intel i5 2500, ATI 6950 2GB or 6850 1GB
• How do I find and monitor the temperature of my computer? (Without physically using a thermometer)

I have the NZXT M-59 and it has excellent cooling. The Lexa-S comes with 4 fans, front, rear, side and top. That will be plenty, you most likely will not have to worry about it, and if you're not overclocking water cooling is unnecessary.

The objective with fan placement is to create an air flow through the computer, drawing in fresh cool air usually in the front, blowing it out the back. The top fan also blows air out because heat rises.

There are usually sensors in the motherboard for monitoring temperatures. CPUID HWMonitor is a good free program, or core temp. You can also monitor CPU temps in BIOS. You will want to keep an eye on it after booting up for the first time to make sure the heat from the CPU is transferring to the heat sink. The heat sink should be hot to the touch.
