I am absolutely dumb when it comes to such things as hardware, so I need some help. I just signed up for EQ2 and I have been having alot of issues with my Computer freezing up. I posted on another forum and someone suggested to me that It may be that my computer is running hot.

How would I go about cooling it off? Should I just buy a new fan and replace the one I currently have or should I add another one that will work with the one installed now? If I should install a second one, where would this fan get it power from? Will it have some sort of external power or will it get power from the motherboard?

Any help that any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I have a HP Pavillion
AMD Athlon XP2400 2.0GHz
512 RAM

As far as Temp on it I am unsure of that. How would I tell what the temp is?

If you are overheating it is probably because of dust.....
Open your case and take a look. If you see that is the case, Go and pick up a can of compressed air and clean that sucker out.
