Well.. for heatsink I Would get a Thermalright SLK-948U when it comes out.. or a Zalman 7000A-CU or 7000A-AlCu..

Water cooling would be the next step..

Then.. if you really want those numbers.. Might want a Prometeia by nventiv/chip-con

Prometeia is a Cooling system.. a compressor cooling system.. like a fridge.. very expensive tho.. 1000+ for a mach 2.. 500+ for a mach 1.. Mach two can reach speeds up to.. maybe 2.8.. mine got to 2.9 ghz.. but you have 2 gbs of ram.. you might get round 2.6 with that ram.. depending..

Phase change cooling like vapochill isn't necessary unless you are generating some serious heat. It is also very pricey and there are some condensation issues.

Theres no condenstation issues.. not with the prometeia.. I know lots of people who have them.. and have no such issues.. I own one myself.. and I dont have any either.. Maybe with vapochill.. Vapochills arent near as good as prometeias though.. and processor do generate alot of heat.. specificly.. overclocked ones.. :p

You can never go wrong with stiftech. I have a MCX462 on my Barton 2500 running at 2.442 and it keeps it a chilly 45-49 C.

The condensation issues are avoidable, with the proper foam insulation. Phase change cooling is necessary for those who are striving for the fastest available clock speeds for their CPUs. They are pricey and are not for everyone.
