Cooling for 9800 pro?

A lot of newegg reviewers complain of high temps with lock ups after 10-20 minutes. Any of you 9800 pro owners have these issues?

Any recommendations on the best cooling solution for this card? Is the Iceberg kit the best?

Thanks!

all video cards are like that, not just 9800 pro itself. if the card does not have enough cooling, it'll most likely freeze. leave your case open or buy 2 standard case fans for intake in the front and exhaust in the back. use the stock cooling if you dont plan to overclock far or not overclock at all. stock cooling is pretty good on any 9800 pro.

I was looking today for a new cooler for a 9500 and saw some recommendations for the 9800. From what I found, it seems that the #1 cooler would be a Zalman ZM80A (heatpipe model) with a large side mounted fan and the #2 choice appears to be a Vantec Iceberq4. The Zalman is expensive, big and heavy, but looks like it could cool 2 Gpu's. Check them out!

your best bet if you need more cooling would be to remove the stock heatsink, remove it's thermal pad, lap it, then use some AS3 or other thermal compound. I've found the stock heatsink on my 9800np to be more than adequate, even for fairly heavy overclocking.
