Sup guys and gals, need some info

i have an Antec Case, with 5 Antec Fans, they seem to keep things cool and everything, but!!! i am wanting some a little quieter, my case is an AWG1000, the full server tower(grey) look on antecs site and you will see my case..

i seen that panaflow is nice, but i dont like that it comes with 2 bare wires, i want the molex connectors.

is there any other company that has better fans then panaflow and are quieter?

or is my antec/antec setup pretty good?

You could go with a fan controller like this one or similiar to slow your stock fans down: http://www.aerocooler.com/shop...&prod_id=FANTH2140

You have to get all of the fan wires to the controller though and I don't know if it accepts 3 or 4 pin. You may have to research it a bit. It should quiet your rig down quite a bit. Something to consider anyway......

I had stock 80mm in my Antec case and made a switch to PC Power and Cooling silent fans. They were quiet alright but didn't push enough air. From my experience, unless you are supremely picky, there is not alot a difference between fans that are running the same rpm. For me, hard drive noise and other real world noise wash out the cooling fan noise, but, I'm not supremely picky......

true..

what i mean to ask is this tho..

since i have an antec case and antec fans.. is that good enough?

or is there better fans.. i dont care for a controller.. i dont want one, i just want it to run good, the noise isnt so much a factor..

so what would you suggest?

Download Everest Home Edition (it's a great free program) here: http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en

There is a sensor section for the CPU and MB temps. It is a great program and will tell you alot about your computer. I use it and love it. There is no spyware to worry about either....

Everest is a small program, I think you will find it very cool!

The stock fans on CPU's are fine if you are not overclocking. If you plan to go for the gusto, get a good copper sink. The Zalmans are popular. I am using a Swiftech MCX478 on my intel. Using a good sink and some good thermal paste will drop your temps significantly. I wouldn't have beleived it unless I tried it myself. I shaved nearly 6 deg C compared to stock cooling....

They both look pretty good. System temp (mb) looks great, the CPU is good too at 42C. You could probably drop that with a good sink. Personally, I wouldn't touch anything if you don't plan to overclock. Just clean your system regularly, and tidy up the cabling inside your case to optimize airflow. Looks great overall....
