Trying not to reinvent the wheel. I'm looking cool some devices that just need some air push through or exhaust out. Looking to either buy something pre-made or make one.. basically taking 3-4 or 5-6 small 40mm quiet fans and chain it up to either usb or some sort of power. I drew a sample of what i'm looking to do, just putting 3 fans together and securing it .. I can probably print some stuff with 3d printer to mount the fans. but wiring it up for power is another. Not sure if these type of setup are being sold some where or I have to diy it.. thanks if anyone would know.

sort of like this but not for rack.

Seems like a lot of work to get like 1 or 2 degrees C cooler.
Lots of parts that can fail.
Sounds like an awesome nerd project just accept it might not be productive

Depending on what it is you want to cool, you should look at the "laptop coolers" sold for this purpose. Typically they are a flat panel with a few fans inside, often fitted with fans desigined for 5 VDC supply so they can be plugged into a USB port. BUT remember that USB2 each port can supply 5 VDC up to 0.5 A, so that's not a lot of powerful fans and cooling.

  • Fan Speed: 8000 RPM
  • Air Flow: 62.4 CFM
  • Noise: 39.78 dBA

dear lord.... quiet?
I have a problem with these numbers..
8k rpm + quiet is like asking for a fuel efficient V12 supercar.

There is no way in hell 8k rpm can be quiet, nor can those numbers even really be at 40dBA... maybe 40dBA PER FAN.

Also you can not pull enough voltage for most fans from the 5V usb, nor would i recommend it.
It is in your best interest to buy a 12V DC adapter rated around 2-3A and run 12V fans from it.

Something like this:
