Cooling fans connection

Started to build my first project, MOBO has two 3pins connectors, one for CPU the other sys fan (already dedicated for the back fan).
Will add one extra fan on the front of the case and perhaps a second on the side.
What if any advantage on using the MOBO vs the 4 pins from the PSU?
2) and if better to use the 3 pins are there splitter cables to hook 2 fans on a single outlet?
3)Will the extra fan on a single outlet create a supply/overload on that outlet?

Mobo fan headers, in general, can supply at least 0.5 Amps (6 Watts) each so you can use fans that total up to that amount safely. Some fan connectors can support more current, you'll have to find that out in your mobo manual or on the mfr's site. You can connect the fan speed lead (usually yellow but can be other colors) from only one fan to the mobo fan header. If the fans are the same, they'll be running at the same speed anyway - I don't recommend stacking different brands/models on the same header.
. The mobo headers can often control the fans to some degree while fans plugged into the PSU (normal, not special connector) will run full speed 24/7 unless they are otherwise controlled. Generally a mobo often won't boot without a fan with a working speed sensor connected to the specially marked, CPU Fan header. Once you've booted, you can go into the BIOS setup and disable that CPU protection feature if you wish (one reason, if you want to hook the CPU fan to an independent controller.
