Hey guys...

I have a Lian Li PC-6070B Lian Li "Silent" Case. It has padding and a front door and is barely audible. Rig in Sig, Panaflo L1A Fans in the front. The CPU temps are 49C idle and around 54-58C load. When I REMOVE the side window, the CPU temp drops to 38C idle and around 45C load. The case temps are around 32C and when I remove the side window, drop down to 24C. Btw, The Zalman CNPS7000A ALCU is @ 2400 RPM (or the highest it can go to).

I know most of you will say 49C idle is normal... But I would like to keep it "cool" instead of "warm" and it just will make me even feel better about my rig...

The main problem is this... On the back of the case is an 80mm ADDA fan with a fan cage or something. I want to remove the whole thing. Would that require a "DREMEL" ?

If so, how much does a DREMEL to cut out a 80mm fan cost? I just need it for this one job. Or maybe I can put a 92mm fan on the 80mm hole.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any tips are appreciated...

You won't see much better temps and still have a silent case. It sounds weird that a dremel is needed to take apart a case. I'm sure they didn't weld it shut at the factory.
