I was wondering if there were any cooling devices that are mounted in the floppy drive bay?

Because I have a SFF computer and there's not a lot of places to mount case fans. Well, none actually. There's also no available 5.25" bay where i can mount a fan as well.

Any fan that would fit into a 3.5 bay would be practically useless.

In th past I have used a couple of 5 1/4 devices with fans and the fans with both crapped out in no time at all. They really didn't provide enough airflow to do anything anyway.

Your best bet would be to use a hole saw and make youe own fan mount.
If you can't at least fit an 80mm fan I wouldn't use less than a 60mm fan.

A blower could fit in there, and act as an exhaust fan. Not the idea location for exhaust though. And blowers of that size don't push much air, and may be noisy.

I'm faced w/ the same problem w/ a sff case. I'm giving up and going back to a monster case w/ 120mm fans. SFFs are pretty, but packing them full of stuff then trying to keep them cool AND quiet is quite a stretch. You might could rig up a couple/few 40mm fans there, but the noise will be right in your face, plus you won't get too much performance from it. You're likely better off putting a grille on the 3.5" bay and making sure you've got some decent airflow out the back. <pffrt><excuse me>

That's great! I can imagine a SFF case with this big ole' growth sticking out the front.

Better yet, why not just stick the whole SFF case inside a dorm size fridge? Along with a dehumidifier, of course.
