I know the P180's fairly quiet and cool on it own, however, my apartment isn't the most condusive environment for keeping things (and people) cool. I believe the P180 has 2 optional fan slots you can use, but one can interfere with the PCIe slot. What fans are recommended in addition to the stock P180 fans? Would it be better to replace the entire P180 stock itself as well?

Depends on your rig, room temps, and oc'ing. The tricool 120x25's are fairly quiet on low and push decent cfm's. The bottem chamber 120x38 is a little quieter and pushes good cfm's. If your apt runs warm, I would utilize all the p180's stock fans except for the top one (unless you flip it over and have it blow in...some people are getting good results with this to cool their cpu), I sealed my top vent off for noise purposes, fool around with them to get your optimum noise/cfm/temp ratio's, and add a 120x25 intake to the upper chamber. Several forum topics on the p180....check around....you will read about several different configs for fans in the p180.

The P180 fans are nice unless you are a silence FREAK. By that, I mean you can stand even the faintest hum. I would suggest flipping the top fan so it's an intake, and getting a new fan to put in the front area. Remove the VGA duct - it's useless.
