I have a retail barton on the way and have a zalman 3100+ RT currently on my 1700+ is the zalman even better at cooling than the retail hsf? It may be quieter i think and if thats the only difference its still worth it to me.

The zalman would prolly be better, or at least quieter. Although the retail heatsink does provide decent cooling.
