Cooling and other issues on new i3-4330 system?

I put together a new i3 4330 and Asus H87M-E system yesterday (updated to latest bios). I looked at the retail HSF and saw it only was aluminum, so I used an Intel HSF with copper core that I bought a couple of years ago. I used some arctic silver 5 with the rice sized blob on the cpu, and put the fan on. Today, while playing videos, using Google Earth or even just on Firefox now, the intel hd graphics drivers crashes and then resumes. It is doing it quite a bit. I used the latest driver from Asus, and now using latest driver on Intel's site for W7 x64 (same result).
When the crash happens, from GPU-Z logs, I see that the GPU frequency shoots up to 1150mhz for 3 seconds, and the gpu power goes from about 1W or less to about 10W, and there is a rise of about 5-10C in temperature.


I just ran some benchmarks using Aida64, and I saw the CPU temp shoot up to 89C on one of the tests, but then it drops really quick back to around 35-40.
Is this a cooling issue? I know Haswells run hotter than Ivy due to IVRs. Is this also a cooling issue about the GPU drivers crashing and the sudden increase in gpu frequency and power draw?

BTW, I am using a 300W SFX power supply that is 3 years old inside of a Inwin BK623 case, that I have added a 80mm fan to the optical drive bay for extra cooling, and not using that Partition Plate because it actually would not fit over the HSF due to positioning problems. Also did not have any issues installing windows or any drivers for other hardware.
 
Well 89c will still work, even in the 90's c

Of course the life of the CPU goes down big time. Reinstall the HSF one more time. This time put very little TIM lines. Soon at this temp comp will crash. gl
 
I would imagine the airflow in that case is pretty weak, and AIDA64 is an extremely demanding test, and Haswell will get hot when put to the test, and stock heatsinks are sub-par. Sounds plausible to reach those temps imo.
