I'd like to know the best heatsink/fan combination that I could get at newegg.com, I need something that's decently priced, and not like $40 or higher. A good cooling heatsink/fan is needed, It would also be helpful if it is more of a quiet one too. Also, another question would be, I have bought a vantec aerocool recently, I would like to know if it would even fit on the AMD 64 cpus and would the architecture of a 3000+ 64 run hotter than a 2000+ palomino? Thanks.

im using a silentboost and it works fine. have had no problems overclocking my 3000+ to 2.4ghz @ 1.6v. temps idle at 35c load 47c. would have used the slk948u had it fit on the original mounting bracket without new screws. not a big deal tho.

Newegg is pretty poor place to buy fans, so that exludes Alpha and Thermalright. So if your set on newegg get this, Just make sure it will fit.
