after i play games for as little as 10 minutes it gets really hot and noticably slow. i want to find a way to undervolt the processor(no bios options)and possibly slow it down too.

i've tried mbm5 and it doesn't come up with any temp or votage readings and i've tried setting it to different sensors. i've used clockgen on my other puter and it doesn't let me adjust the voltages, so i doubt it will on this, though i could probly underclock it. is there any program that will tell me the voltages, i can't even see what they're set to in the bios

here's specs
inspiron 5100
2.8b p4 533 fsb (keep in mind this isn't the mobile version of the p4 or the pm, just desktop version)
512 ram
mobility radeon 9200

thanks

Use SweedswitchXP and I8kFANGUI together.

(Google for them)

Put the speedswitch XP to set the CPU speed and use I8KFanGUI to set the fan on high.

Since you have a 5100, It is advisable you clean you fans and heatsink by blowing compressed air into it once in a while. They often get clogged up by dust.
