Cooling a Radeon LE?

hey guys, my radeon LE (barely overclocked, hyperZ enabled) is incredibly hot. I have isolated it as the reason my computer locks up during game play (after 1/2 - 1 hr of intense play). I was wondering what you guys recommended to cool it. Right now my system is really quiet, and I would like to keep it that way (IE no delta fans), but I also need a cool graphics card..

Any ideas?

Thanks

Have you checked to ensure that your system is reliable at default clock before you even worry about overclocking it?

It could just be that the epoxy holding the heatsink to the core was applied poorly at the factory.

Take off the heatsink, remove the old epoxy, lap the heatsink (and core surface it you want), apply a thin layer of thermal adhesive to the top of the core, and re-attach the heatsink.

Since you say that your system is quiet, I'm guessing that you don't have much airflow through your case. I'd suggest not overclocking if you don't want to put more cooling into your computer case. Due to their large size and relatively low rpms, case fans aren't terribly loud yet offer good cooling to the whole computer.

Scouzer, that depends heavily upon the ambient temperature of the air outside the case. In many situations it's better to leave the panels on.

I figured it out. I propped a NMB 90mm fan against my NIC and used two screws to level it so it's sitting right below my Radeon. I'm sure my system is 100% stable, except when the radeon overheats. Also it's not poorly applied apoxy. When I say it's hot, i mean the entire thing was hot to the touch, anywhere you touched it. That's why I was wondering what other people had done if they had this problem. Thanks for the help guys, it seems to be OK now. ( I went on a 4 hour CS marathon and it didn't crash. I know CS isnt the most graphical intensive game but it used to crash in it after like 2-3 hrs of playing). It also crashed in Mechwarrior 4, Mechcommander 2, Max Payne, etc.... now it seems to be fine
