Cooling a Prescott 3.20E?

Anyone know what's the normal and max operating temp for this CPU is?

I'm using the stock Intel fan and am afraid its inadequate. I have an Asus P4P800 Deluxe board and the Asus probe says the CPU is at 44C/111F, MB temp is 37C/98F. Is this good?

If not, what are recommended fans for this puppy?

THose temps are fine. I personally don't want my temps over 50C under full load, but as long as you are under 60C you should be fine. If you are not overclocking then then the stock cooler is fine. I use the XP-90 with a 92mm fan and my temps stay around 47C under full load at 3.9Ghz.

XP90, beast. However make sure you get a quiet fan with it, the Panaflo I got is loud as hell until I bring it down to 85% with Speedfan. Unless you don't mind the noise. In that case, Vantec Tornade all the way 😛

Aww yeah... got me a XP-90 and slapped on a standard Thermaltake 92mm fan.

This puppy dropped my temp by 10C. I used to avg idle 44-47C, now she runs at 33-36C. Max 52C (before), Max 44C (after). Measured via AsusProbe. Using AS5 paste.

Sweet. Thanks for the tip guys. BTW, the TT fan is pretty quiet IMO.
