I've been running this thing stock for the past 2 months or so... and my temps are kinda high. 47 idle, 52 at load.... So I want a new cooler. The Coolermaster Aero 4 looks really cool to me, and the reviews of the 'lite' version are all very good... the non-light version is copper instead of aluminum, so it must be even better....

Currently I'm running at a 223 mhz FSB 1:1 which comes out somewhere around 3.3ghz.

So I'm thinking either the Coolermaster Aero 4... which look cool, plus comes with a fan for only $28.99... or the SLK900 for which I'd have to buy an additional $15 dollar fan on top of the $45 heatsink...

The Coolermaster would be a good choice just for lowing my temps and not OCing anymore, right? In other words, it's not terrible, is it?

before you even buy a new one try to lap ur current one, and maybe do a fan mod if possible....i need to find mine and mess around with it.

and you can get a 4C drop in temps at least, if you're brave enuf to lap you cpu....i'll try that when i buy a new computer:)

Um... I doubt I have any of the prerequisites for lapping a heatsink, such as
a) Knowing what lapping is
b) a lapper... or lapping machine
c) the motivation to 'lap' something
d) a lap pool

The coolermaster isn't terrible but I'd go with the SLK900 or the Zalman 7000, both of which are giant steps above that Coolermaster in performance. The Zalman is a complete integrated solution, fan and heatsink combined.
