Howdy all,
I recently bought a modified Duron 700 preset and tested at 900Mhz. It comes with a Coolermaster heatsink. Do I really need a fan for it in addition to the heatsink? If so, which one should I get. If I don't need the fan I'd rather spend the extra dinero on it.

you are going to definetly want a fan to go with the heatsink at the very least. Durons, especially when overclocked will dump out enormous heat. You could consider getting a taisol heatsink and fan, they are generally cheap. or you could get a fan to put over the heatsink.

Okay, so I called Icompz, the folks who sold me the package, and they said that it was a combination heatsink and fan. It's listed as "Modified Duron 700 (900Mhz preset) w. Coolermaster Heatsink" so I just assumed that it was the heatsink alone. On the phone they said it was fan/heatsink combo. Can anyone set me straght on this?

Well, if they say there's a fan, then it probably is an HSF combo. Sometimes people might just say "heatsink" when they mean HSF.
