CoolGear.com looks really odd. I mean HOLY CRAP you really honestly think they need all these sites to sell these products? I personally don't, I smell something bad here!

They run all these sites:

coolgear.com
usbgear.com
cooldrives.com
usbserial.com
usbmax.com
sataadapter.com
firewiregear.net
adaptergear.com
satagear.com
hubgear.com
kvmgear.com
esatacables.com
usbwear.com
cablegear.com
networkserial.com
serialgear.com

Offtopic: this reminds me of the batshit crazy kid ("Brad", IIRC) who setup a scam PC assembling business somewhere in Kentucky. He would take orders, never fulfil them, if escalated reimburse the transactions from new customer 'purchases'. He 'hired' friends or people he knew, but since he lacked the income would avoid them when payment came due. There was a link to some nearly unreadable (due to length) [external] forum thread. Does anyone recall who this entertaining nut was, and if there was a resolution?

Offtopic: I hate fucking e-checks. Why the fuck do I have to wait three goddamn days for an online payment to go through. E-checks are the worst idea ever. I HATE YOU ECHECKS :|

So is this Coolgear.com running a scam?

Because online reseller review sites, many people say to avoid them, lots of problems.

Anyhow in my 20 years of being online I've never seen any company own so many domains to sell pretty much the same thing, so to me this looks really odd...

Thanks, I'll try to see if there was any resolution sometime.

I've purchase some SATA adapters from satagear before. All those sites are just "sub-sites" for their different departments. Coolgear is the main company.

When I first saw CoolGear years back I thought certainly things are fine, but once I saw all the other sites I began to wonder.

Well doesn't seem like anyone ever answers the phone, so not sure about email support...

Sub-sites, looks pretty retarded to have all these sites...

Still looks fishy...
