Drempels kicks ass. You can even customize it by using your own pictures and they'll change shape/distort too. Very sweet.

I got this before and I haven't used it in a while. I didn't know you could use your own .jpgs on it. Gotta try it again.

Drempels is very CPU-friendly and only uses your idle CPU cycles

This program is VERY cool looking but when running it uses 50% of my 866p3. The resources lessen when they are used elsewhere but I don't think I want something burning up my cpu like that all the time. Maybe only when I need the relaxation affect. :)

I am Doenloading it now.... But Damn This is downloading slow (less than 1k a second with DSL)

THere is a Program called dreamrender that also Does this. You Can Download it with This Linky.....

I also have dreamrender and it suuucks.. slow as hell, very very very GPU dependant. Also it doesnt look nearly as good as drempels:cool:
 

CPU at 72% with a 450 celery :(

I have to shut it down before I click on IE or it takes 2 minutes for IE to load !


Cool as sh!t though !

Pretty cool. With Dreamrender, I noticed some slowdown. With this, no slow down at all. :)

I use it and love it!!


hardly any hit on cpu usage on my rig......and it sure is puurrty.

I tried Drempels a couple months ago, but it adversely affected the performance of other applications. I think I need a new computer.

This program would be perfect if you could adjust the priority of it...sort of like RC5 how you can have it only use IDLE CPU cycles. This thing just eats 1/3 of my processor power which is ridiculous. It slows down other stuff, where RC5 would just allow the program use the CPU cycles it needs. I have a 980MHz P3.

edit: i adjusted the priority manually and it seems to be a lot nicer this way...my target is now:

C:\WINNT\system32\CMD.EXE /c start /Low C:\winnt\drempels.exe

Oh that is SO sweet!!! I used Geiss back in the day, and I can see that Mr. Geiss is still putting out brilliant visualization sw. Man, this is just super cool. I don't notice any slowdown/overhead either (on a PIII 800).
