Install it, then browse to one of many, many supported websites (like your favorite Flickr photo pool), hover your mouse over one of the thumbnails and click the "Play" button that appears.

It really kicks ass for browsing large galleries without having to browse page to page. You can use your mouse for full control too (including the wheel to zoom in and out), and you can double-click any photo to enlarge and view the gallery in a more traditional mode.

Tons of websites with photo galleries are compatible, even those not on their list (works great with Google Image Search too).

Try it out. At worst, you can always uninstall it later.

Debatable. I don't use AdBlock, and I'm not inconvenienced at all.

In fact, allowing ads to be displayed is a simple way of supporting many of the free websites we use everyday, like AnandTech and the AT Forums.

They have to pay for bandwidth, software, maintenance, and employees, all while offering us a great computer industry website and forums at no charge. Ads pay their bills, and I'm happy to let them take up a tiny portion of my screen so they can keep providing an excellent no-charge resource to us.

Ads are a great way of paying for upkeep, but I also go to other websites that are plastered with the things and they annoy me.

I understand that, but some sites plaster their sites with enough animated flash ads and pop-up banners to make their sites practically unreadable. Sites like that get their ad providers blocked, which has the unfortunate side-effect of blocking the smaller and less obnoxious ads on other sites as well.

He didn't say 'best', he said coolest...this plug-in kicks circles around Adblock Plus [and NoScript] for coolness factor.

Agreed. Easy ways that ads find their way onto my block list:

- Sound
- Video that plays automatically and can't be stopped
- Stupid flashing or animations that can't be stopped
- Things that pop up on mouse rollover
- Popups

You want to hawk your wares, fine. Don't be in my face about it, don't be annoying about it, or you get blocked.

Not unless it supports video. I'll stick with yuvutu and others. Does look cool still though.

Huhh what? You feeling OK?

Works for Microsoft, probably...

Actually I use Opera. Firefox is a big fat hog unless they've made strides in the memory management department. It also takes an a$$-load of time to startup. My backup is IE, over FF.

I loaded a few pages with pics, then closed them after viewing them. Here's how FF reacts to that... http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/rh71/ffmemory.gif It never gave it back unless you close it completely and restarted.

I didn't want to hijack but since you guys obviously wanted me to...

You should submit this quote to their website as a user recommendation...:D

"One thumb up! It would be Two thumbs, but one hand is busy right now..."
