i recently put a t4 in my system.
it appears to have a ticking noise above 1300rpm

quick internet search shows this is common, when its on facing down, something to do with the bearing

i have at ticket into cm support

was thinking i should just put a noctua fan on it

any suggestions?

Go with a Corsair or Noctua... You can look into other fans that use a fluid bearing (a few Scythe fans come to mind) if it is just a low pressure exhaust fan (i.e. it isn't trying to blow or suck air through a filter or heatsink).

put the noctua on saturday.

i must say it does seem much higher quality than any other i have purchased, i think i have a new fan manufacturer.

under full load, now maxing @ 51C.

yeah, the thermal paste was way over due for replacement, 8+ years old.

all in all im happy
