Just setup my dual XP1800+ with A7M266-D (each topped off with the abovementioned heatsink/fan), 512MB Nanya PC2400, 30GB Maxtor boot volume, 2 60GB Maxtors striped for data, CD-RW, 16MB Voodoo3 AGP (was lying around...I'm waiting to get an 8500DV), Netgear FA311, Promise Ultra133TX2.
Oh, o/c the FSB to 140 right now (puts the 1800+ at a 1915+ speed - 1610mhz).
And, this is all in an aluminum Antex case I got from CompUSA (need to remember to send in the $30 rebate if it's not too late
) with a 350W Antec PS.
Thought I'd run the test SETI WU from here and see how she does on speed. The first 5-6% of processing a SETI work unit really crank the cpu (on another PC I have, the cpu temp would go from 50C up to 63C :Q ).
This 1800+ (only testing on one cpu)? What's it doing? Oh....sitting rock-solid at 40C!!!! Woo hoo!!
