I promised a few guys here I'd put this thread up when I had a chance to test it out so here it is.

I got my Coolermaster HHC-001 with a an aftermarket 5000RPM Coolermaster branded 60mm x 60mm x 10mm fan on it. I installed this HSF on my Epox 8K3A+ with a AthlonXP 1900+ running at 1725MHz (143MHz FSB x 12). This Coolermaster HHC-001 replaced a big Taisol copper-based aluminum HSF with a 60mm x 60mm x 25mm 5000RPM Taisol branded fan on it.

Taisol Temps:
Unloaded - 55C
100% Loaded (Prime95) - 63C
Case Temp - 32C for both

Coolermaster HHC-001 Temps:
Unloaded - 48C
100% Loaded (Prime95) - 55C
Case Temp - 32C for both

As you can see, my 100% loaded temp is now what my idle temp. used to be. :Q And the HHC-001 with the aftermarket Coolermaster fan on it is sooo much quieter, I can barely hear it operating. I had to take the sidepanel off to verify that the fan was on the first time I fired up the computer. :Q :Q

Needless to say, I am very pleased with this HSF combo. It is very pretty too. :) I would easily recommend this HSF to anyone running an AthlonXP.

Hmmm, you replaced the HHC-001 60mm fan with another 60? My HHC-001 cools my 1.8v palmino under load in prime at about 50c. That is with the load '6800' RPM fan which actually runs between 7300 and 8000 RPMs. Still, with a 60x10 mm fan, that is pretty good.

KingofFah, i dont know if you remember telling me about modifying the HHC-001 with an 80mm fan. My friend went to CompUSA the other day to get some stuff for his new Cheiftec case (reccommended by ME ;)) and bought an adapter to do what i was telling him about. He also has an HHC-001 (ALSO reccommended by me :))

so hes gonna modify his all nice like you said. ill see how his came out, then do mine soon.

What is your case temp? I am thinking that my stable 32C temp has something to do with that performance. My case is well cooled.

Hmm, well my case temps are 27c right now, and I running prime as I type this to get the load temp. Looks to be about 52c.

Matthew, if you get a good one (they are all very close in price range at SVC), you should see temps drop a few.
Good suggestion on the case. I got the biggest case they have for 45$ on newegg. My question to all of you is "Why did you not buy these when they were on sale?"
Man, if I had the money I would have bought a bunch and sold them. The *special* lasted for like 3 months.

Well, I got mine for free, that is I traded some old memory I had laying around for it. It was ECC SDRAM but useless to me. I might have even gotten the RAM for free as well, I can't remember now.
