I promised a few guys here I'd put this thread up when I had a chance to test it out so here it is.
I got my Coolermaster HHC-001 with a an aftermarket 5000RPM Coolermaster branded 60mm x 60mm x 10mm fan on it. I installed this HSF on my Epox 8K3A+ with a AthlonXP 1900+ running at 1725MHz (143MHz FSB x 12). This Coolermaster HHC-001 replaced a big Taisol copper-based aluminum HSF with a 60mm x 60mm x 25mm 5000RPM Taisol branded fan on it.
Taisol Temps:
Unloaded - 55C
100% Loaded (Prime95) - 63C
Case Temp - 32C for both
Coolermaster HHC-001 Temps:
Unloaded - 48C
100% Loaded (Prime95) - 55C
Case Temp - 32C for both
As you can see, my 100% loaded temp is now what my idle temp. used to be. :Q And the HHC-001 with the aftermarket Coolermaster fan on it is sooo much quieter, I can barely hear it operating. I had to take the sidepanel off to verify that the fan was on the first time I fired up the computer. :Q :Q
Needless to say, I am very pleased with this HSF combo. It is very pretty too.
I would easily recommend this HSF to anyone running an AthlonXP.
